Greek proverb: Αἲξ Σκυρία

Here's a saying from Apostolius, C1.61, with a Latin version from Clavis Homerica. The image is from an edition of Alciato's emblems: Emblemata / Les emblemes (1584). Here are some more Apostolius proverbs.

As Alciato's epigram reports, the goats of Skyros were notorious for knocking over the bucket just as soon as they had been milked.

Αἲξ Σκυρία.
Capra Scyria.
A she-goat of Skyros.
